Setting up your counter is easy! If you didn't receive your counter file name when activating your account, please fill out the form below and we'll email you the file name. To set up your counter, just insert the following code into your HTML document you wish to display the counter:
<b>You are visitor number<br> <img src="http://webtent.net/cgi-bin/Count.cgi?dd=ainv&ft=0&df=yourdomain.dat" align=absmiddle><br> since <i>Thursday, May 28, 1998</i><br></b> </center><br> The result is this:
The only thing you need to change in the code above, besides the date, is the dd variable and .dat file highlighted in RED. The dd variable tells which graphic to use when displaying the counter. You have several counter images to choose from which can be found in the WebTent extensive library of Counter Images. You can choose from our HUGE list of images and just insert the image code into the line above after "dd=". The .dat file just needs to be changed to your domain with the .dat extension and without the "www." prefix or ".com" suffix. For instance, if your domain name is www.yoursite.com, then your .dat file would be called "yoursite.dat".
For help on HTML documents, see the Tutorials section of the WebTent Members Area. If you receive an error when trying to setup your counter that says 'Counter datafile must be created first!', just fill out the form below and we'll take care of it: |
